I have not read anything from this author. This is not what I thought it was when I got it. I thought it was a cookbook. But I was pleasantly surprised. My husband and his sister started planting a garden last year. They started using raised beds for most of it. I would give this book 4 stars. I would also recommend this book for new gardeners.
This book goes into great detail of how to grow a garden, whether it be flowers, vegetables or spices. It shows diagrams of how and what to plant and hang for better growth. It tells when and how much to water them, and what kind and how much fertilizer to use.
This book also tells how to treat the symptoms of different kinds of animals and pests for a bunch of crops. It also tells how to troubleshoot compost problems and places to buy seeds and more.

This is another first of this author I have looked at. I give the book 4 stars. Even though I gave it a high rating, I would not recommend it to anyone.
First of all I love the pictures showing the food after it has been cooked. I also like that he explained everything and went into detail about the food.
My draw back is the I have never heard of half of the ingredients he used. Next think some of the names of the ingredients and the food themselves i could not pronounce.

I have never read anything from this author. I give this book 3 stars. I would not really recommend this book to anyone.
I have tried to read this book. I have been reading it for about 3-4 days. If you were to ask me about this book I could not tell you anything that I have read.
I finally just give up trying to read it.

This is the first I have read by this author. I do not like books where you can not pronounce the people or places names. I did not like this book, but that is just my opinion. Others may very well like the book. I gave this book 3 stars.
This book takes place in a made up place called Bulikov. The Gods are called divinities. Some kind of weapon killed the divine protectors. When this happened the conquerors became the conquered.
Historian Dr. Efrem Pangyui is murdered. Shara Thivani, travels to Bulikov to find out who killed him and why. I will not reveal the ending, you can read it for yourself.

I will have to go back and read the first 2. I love this author. I have read a good many of her books. I give this book 5 stars. I highly recommend this book.
This book is about Hannah Lapp. She left the Amish and is living with Martin Palmer and takes are of his kids. Her sister calls for her to come home. When she gets back home old wounds are opened back up. Hannah sees her ex fiance when she goes back home and they have to work together. Hannah got raped and her parents turned against her. She got pregnant and the baby died.
Sara almost burns the barn down. She also burnt other barns in the area. Paul still loves Hannah. I was glad the story ended the way it did.

I have read a few of Cindy Woodsmall's. I love all that I have read so far. I give her books five stars. I highly recommend this book. I absolutely love reading about the Amish.
The Hope of Refuge was the first book in this series. This story is about Ephraim and Cara and their families. Cara grew up in foster care, when her mother died and her father abandoned her. Cara has a daughter named Lori. Her father, Johnny, died when she was around 2 years old. Cara ran to Amish country following a clue that was left in her mother's diary, trying to escape a stalker, Mike Snell. He had been stalking her for years. They finally arrive in Dry Lake they are wet, cold and homeless. Ephraim's father calls Social Services when he sees Cara stealing. Ephraim risks getting shunned by moving Cara and her daughter into his house, so that social services won't separate them. Ephraim and Cara finally has things going their way and they set their wedding for the fall.
The Bridge of Peace is the second book in the series. Lena is an Amish school teacher. She is in her early 20's. When she was younger, people used to make fun of her because of a birthmark on her face. She loves being a teacher but she faces all kinds of obstacles and she becomes in danger of losing her job. One of her students, Peter is a bully. Grey Graber grew up with Lena. He was older than Lena by 7 years., so he married Elsie instead of trying to court Lena. Grey seems to be the only one on the school board who understands Lena and tries to defend her. However, Gray faces some enormous tragedy and is suddenly dealing with his own struggles. Cara and Ephraim's relationship is moving forward even though she is struggling about joining the Amish community, and Deborah is still grieving the end of her engagement to Mahlon who left her and his mother Ada alone and without income to live in the world of the Englischers. Dwayne is obsessed with Lena. He tried to kill her by putting a horseshoe on a baseball bat. Grey got between them and was hit in the ribs. Dwayne thought that people would think she was killed by getting trampled by her horse. Instead the horse kicked with his back leg and hit Dwayne in the temple and he died. Finally Lena and Grey started making plans to marry.
The Harvest of Grace is the third book in the series. This book is about Sylvia Fisher. She loves dairy farming. Aaron is an alcoholic who went to rehab. When he got out he tried to help his parents by trying to sell the failing farm. Sylvia leaves her farm and go to work for Michael Blank. Sylvia goes home to visit her parents and before she leaves her father gives her 2 checks totaling $40,000 for wages she earned over the years.

This is another first for this author. The book looks nice. I give this book a 4 stars
Some of the recipes look interesting, so I think I will cook a few of these. My husband looked at it and saw some things he wants me to try.
The only thing I didn't like was there were no pictures of the recipes.

I have read quite a few of this author's books. I absolutely love her stories. I give this book 5 stars. I would highly recommend this book. I love to read anything about the Amish. I have always been facinated by the ways of the Amish.
Jolene was 19 years old when her parents died. The week before her marriage her parents were killed in a buggy accident. She decided to raise her 5 siblings herself instead of them be sent to other people to raise. Her fiancé decided he could not handle the responsibility and broke it off with Jolene. Jolene works hard, and find joy in painting, something forbidden in their district. Her brother Ray was struck by lightning when he was a small child.
Andy and his son, Tobias, are alone. Andy’s wife, is not mentally stable, walked out on them several years before. Jolene and Andy become friends, both unaware of each other’s pasts, but Jolene finds out that Andy is not free to marry. He trains horses for a living. I liked the way this story ended.

This another first on the authors of this cookbook. I give this book 3 stars. I was not impressed with this cook book. The names were hard to pronounce. There were not enough pictures to go with the recipes.
If you are vegan I guess this would be a book for you. Alot of the recipes looked kinda complicated. I probably won't be trying any of these recipes.
This is the first book I have reviewed that I did not particularly like, and that is disappointing.

This is another first for this author. I give this book 4 stars. I really don't get into this type of book but I read it any way because it sounded interesting. I was not disappointed. I would recommend this book.
The story is set in Blessing, North Dakota. It is about the Bjorklund family. I really need to start at the beginning of the series about this family. I will definitely go back and read the rest. The one thing I disliked about this book was the names she used. They are very hard to try to pronounce. Trygve is helping to build Blessing, North Dakota. Miriam comes to town to get her nursing degree, and in one year she will return to Chicago to take a job she was offered. An emergency calls her back home.
Blessing is a close knit group of people. Trygve falls for her and can not get her out of his mind, and she him. Miriam gets an emergency call to go back home. The question is, will she come back to Blessing, or will Trygve go to her. I did not like the way the book ended.
