I have read  three of her books so far, and all were good. I give this book 5 stars. I would highly recommend this book.  I can hardly wait to read all of her books.

Rebeka's brother, Andy dies in the cave. Her parents, Nell and Festus wants to have a grave marker inside a fenced in area, so that future generations would know their ancestors, so Rebeka decides that she wants to work so that she can buy a stone for her brothers grave. Rebeka gets a job at the Mammoth Cave in Kentucky. The only draw back is that only men can work there. She decides to dress and talk like a man and she goes by the name, Reb.

She has to work with an experienced worker, named Tolley. He shows her the complexities of the cave. They are joined by a student named Devlin. Devlin is what you would call a cartographer. He has come to map the tunnels for a project at school.

The Wolf Road

This book was a good read. I give this book 4.50 stars. I would recommend this book.  I will have to get more of her books. This book is about a little girl, Elka, who was given to her grandmother so her parents could go and look for gold. As a young girl, she was found by a man named Trapper.  He teaches her how to live in a post apocalyptic world.

Elk finds out that Trapper is not the man she thought he was, and decided to go north to find her parents. Kreagar Hallet was Trapper's real name is wanted for the murder. When she set to go and find her parents, which she knew was a long shot, she ran into some people, some were nice and some was not so nice.

Elka ran into a women named Penelope. They became friends and they helped each other. Penelope helped her find her parents, but it wasn't the reunion she was hoping for at all.  Her parents had The Tin River Claim. Elka and Penelope went into the cabin and found a lot of dishes and dirt every where. No signs of anyone living there.  The went and searched the outside and found a grave with her daddy's name on it.  They went back inside and uncovered the sheet on the bed and found her mama dead also. She buried her next to her daddy.

The Wurst of Lucky Peach

The cook book itself is pretty.  I give it 4 stars. I would recommend this to anyone who likes this kind of cooking.  Myself I don't think I will be cooking very much out of it.

The Wurst of Lucky Peach cook book, covers about 100 different sausages.  It does not have very many recipes. The sausage quest covers: Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, North America, and South America.

The majority of this cook book is about the survey of sausages around the world. It tells about the authors going around the world on sausage safaris.

Food With Friends

The cookbook is very pretty inside and out. The pictures are beautiful. I always love the pictures so I can tell what it is supposed to look like when it is finished.  I give this cookbook four stars. I would recommend this cookbook to anyone that likes to cook.

The book is divided into eight chapters: Secret Ingredients, Style File, Breakfast & Brunch, Teatime, Happy Hour, Potlucks & Picnics, Desserts, and Tiny Takeaways.

I don't see myself really using this cookbook alot.  I may try some of the easy recipes that use common house hold ingredients.  I don't like getting ingredients that I may only use once or twice, and then they expire and then I have to throw them away.

Home Cooked

This is another new author.  I must say that the cook book is really pretty. One thing that I could not figure out was why they did not show her face on the front of the cook book, since the book is about her cooking. I give  this cook book 4 stars. If you really like to cook from scratch, then this is the book you want.

The pictures are beautiful.  The recipes look really difficult to make, the ingredients on some of the recipes could be difficult to find. Also the names of some of the recipes were hard to pronounce.

There are a few recipes that I know I will try, but probably not a whole lot of them.

First of all, this is a beautiful cook book. It is well put together.  This is also another new author.  I give this cook book five stars. I would highly recommend it.

This cookbook is divided into four parts, Part 1, Beginnings: Chapter one, Entradas, and Chapter two, Chilled Seafood.   Part 2, From The Grill: Chapter three, Grilled Meats, Chapter four, Grilled Seafood, and chapter five, Grilled Vegetables.  Part 3, From the Garden: Chapter six, Salads, Chapter seven, Warm Vegetable Dishes. Part 4: Chapter eight, Desserts and Chapter nine Cocktails.

I like that he goes into the basics of grilling, styes of grills, types of fuel to use, grilling tools to have, and how to light the fire. I love the pictures, they are beautiful. The book is very well put together.

Sweeter off the Vine

As with most of the cookbooks I haved received, Yossy Arefi is another author I have never heard of.  I can not wait to start cooking some of the recipes in her cookkbook.  I give this cookbook 4 stars. I would highly recommend this cookbook.

I love that there are pictures to show what the food is suppose to look like.  They are very beautiful pictures. She divides the book into spring, summer, fall and winter.  The recipes in this book range from simple, five ingredient affairs to more complex and involved baking endeavors like laminated pastry dough and composed tarts.

I am not a very good cook, unless it is something that I cook a lot of the time.  I like using recipes with the pictures to go with them, that way I at least know what it is supposed to look like.

This is a new author for me.   I was looking forward to trying some of these recipes. But as I was looking through it, I found out that it did not have any recipes. I give this book 2 stars. I would recommend this book to anyone that is interested in restaurants from the past.

I liked the brief description of some of the restaurants. He also shows the national and regional restaurants that are strictly fast food.

I was disapointed in this book.

Room For Hope

I loved this book. I have most of Kim Sawyer's books.  I have not read any of her books and been disappointed. I give this book 5 stars.  I would recommend this book for anyone to read. I am not Amish, but for some reason I have been fascinated with the religion.

This book is about loss, betrayal, and ultimate triumph. Neva and Warren have fourteen year old twins. Neva Shilling's husband, Warren goes out for months at a time to different towns to sell his goods to make money for his family.  What Neva doesn't know is that her husband has another family and kids.  The sheriff comes to Neva's house on night and tells her that Warren and his wife has died in a buggy accident. They want Neva to raise their three children.  The question is will she raised the children of her unfaithful husband?

Neva is devastated.   She handles the situation well.  Warren had numerous debts. Neva was going to have to sell the mercantile. Arthur told her that he would buy it and keep it for her whenever she wanted to work there, and if she didn't, she could give it to her children when they were old enough to have it.

City of Blades

This is not the first book I have read from this author, Robert Jackson Bennett.   I also have City of Stairs by this same author.  It was also another good book.  I give this book 4 stars. I would recommend this book. Hopefully I will be able to get more books from.

Shara Komayd, Sigrud Harkvaldson and Turyin Mulaghesh fought the divinities. Since the end of that conflict, Shara has become prime minister, Sigrud a diplomat and Mulaghesh has retreated to a quiet, isolated life by the water.  Sigrud, is  the leader of the Dreylings.  He seeks to reconcile with his daughter and oversee the Dreylings on Voortyashtan. His is a huge comfort and aid to Mulaghesh.

General Turyin Mulaghesh was the "hero of Bulikov." She has come out of retirement to help Shara, who is the prime minister of Saypuri. Shara Komayd sends Mulaghesh to Voortyashtan. It had the goddess of war, Voorya, she sent her most powerful soldiers forth to wreak destruction in the world. Sigrud's daughter died, and since they don't bury their dead, was put in a small boat and the boat set fire and sent to drift until destroyed. Sigrud had to go into hiding for killing five men.
