The Postage Stamp Vegetable Garden

I have not read anything from this author.  This is not what I thought it was when I got it. I thought it was a cookbook. But I was pleasantly surprised.  My husband and his sister started planting a garden last year. They started using raised beds for most of it.  I would give this book 4 stars. I would also recommend this book for new gardeners.

This book goes into great detail of how to grow a garden, whether it be flowers, vegetables or spices. It shows diagrams of ho...

This is another first of this author I have looked at.  I give the book 4 stars. Even though I gave it a high rating, I would not recommend it to anyone.

First of all I love the pictures showing the food after it has been cooked.  I also like that he explained everything and went into detail about the food.

My draw back is the I have never heard of half of the ingredients he used. Next think some of the names of the ingredients and the food themselves i could not pronoun...

I have never read anything from this author. I give this book 3 stars.  I would not really recommend this book to anyone.

I have tried to read this book. I have been reading it for about 3-4 days.  If you were to ask me about this book I could not tell you anything that I have read.

I finally just give up trying to read it.

City of Stairs

This is the first I have read by this author.  I do not like books where you can not pronounce the people or places names.  I did not like this book, but that is just my opinion. Others may very well like the book.  I gave this book 3 stars.

This book takes place in a made up place called Bulikov. The Gods are called divinities.  Some kind of weapon killed the divine protectors.  When this happened the conquerors became the conquered.

Historian Dr. Efrem P...

I have read a few of Cindy Woodsmall's. I love all that I have read so far. I give her books five stars. I highly recommend this book. I absolutely love reading about the Amish.

The Hope of Refuge was the first book in this series. This story is about Ephraim and Cara and their families. Cara grew up in foster care, when her mother died and her father abandoned her. Cara has a daughter named Lori. Her father, Johnny, died when she was around 2 years old. Cara ran to A...

This is another first for this author.  The book looks nice.  I give this book a 4 stars

Some of the recipes look interesting, so I think I will cook a few of these.  My husband looked at it and saw some things he wants me to try.

The only thing I didn't like was there were no pictures of the recipes.

A Love Undone

I have read quite a few of this author's books. I absolutely love her stories.  I give this book 5 stars. I would highly recommend this book.  I love to read anything about the Amish.  I have always been facinated by the ways of the Amish.

Jolene was 19 years old when her parents died. The week before her marriage her parents were killed in a buggy accident. She decided to raise her 5 siblings herself instead of them be sent to other people to raise.  Her fian...

Vegan Holiday Cooking from Candle Cafe

This another first on the authors of this cookbook.  I give this book 3 stars.  I was not impressed with this cook book. The names were hard to pronounce. There were not enough pictures to go with the recipes.

If you are vegan I guess this would be a book for you.  Alot of the recipes looked kinda complicated.  I probably won't be trying any of these recipes.

This is the first book I have reviewed that I did not particularly like, and that is disappointing.

This is another first for this author. I give this book 4 stars.  I really don't get into this type of book but I read it any way because it sounded interesting. I was not disappointed. I would recommend this book.

The story is set in Blessing, North Dakota. It is about the Bjorklund family. I really need to start at the beginning of the series about this family. I will definitely go back and read the rest. The one thing I disliked about this book was the names she used. They are v...
