I enjoyed this book a great deal. At first I didn't think I would but I did. The more I read the better it got. I cried more toward the end. I would read a little and cry a little. I think that if Ivy and Marilyn could have had a good heart to heart talk and get all the questions answered things might have turned out differently. It seemed that everytime they would start to talk they would get interupted. Over all I loved the book and would recommend it to anyone to read.
Ivy feels like she has been abandoned all her life. She was taken from her mom and given to her dad, that didn't care about her at all. And then she can not understand why her step mom would let her move in after all that had happened. Ivy didn't know that Marilyn could not have children. Then her Uncle Bruce took over her modeling career at the age of fourteen.
Everything seemed to be going wrong for Ivy. First her father dies, then her roommate dies, and her career is coming to an end. In the modeling world beauty is everything and the older you get the sooner it ends. I am glad that she went home to help with the fashion show. After she finally ask God to take over and that she was his, her attitude finally started to change, and the walls started to fall away. Davis is a good match for her. Iamglad that they finally got married. After they finally told each other thay loved each other they could not keep from grinning. I liked the part where Ivy told Davis that he made her face hurt from smiling so much.
