I liked the cookbook. I gave it 4 Stars, I would recommend this cookbook for anybody. There were a few things I didn't like. It had about one third of the book with biographies that could have been recipes.
This cookbook is around 77+ pages family history that walks us through her family’s history. This cookbook tells the story of a black family growing up in the kitchens of the south. The authors share kitchen memories and gossip that have spanned five kitchens and three generations.
I can't wait to start cooking from this cookbook. Some of the recipes sound like they will good. The recipe categories are divided up into Sips and Bites, Soups, Main Dishes, Sides and Salads Desserts, Crowns and For a Crowd.
